London Charity Partner | Mitchell's Miracles

​As part of our Giving Back initiative, each of our offices choose a cause to support each year through fundraising and volunteering activities. One of our London Business Units has selected Mitchell’s Miracles as their partnered charity for 2023, an organisation which provides emotional and financial support to families affected by neuroblastoma, a children’s cancer.

Kristel Huth founded the charity in honour of her son, Mitchell, who died from neuroblastoma in 2012 at the age of seven. Abigail Hurley, one of our London charity reps, nominated Mitchell’s Miracles as she is a close friend of the family and has actively supported the charity over the past six years. As a smaller charity raising awareness for a lesser-known condition, Abigail knew that Venn Group’s support could make a big difference, and she invited Kristel and her husband, Terry, to the London office last Friday for a chance to meet everyone in the team and talk about their work.

Our business services team has raised over £500 so far this year through bakes sales, a sponsored musical performance and other activities. The team have made plans to take part in a Tough Mudder and half marathon later in the year to raise further funds, and Abigail is helping at their Superheroes children’s fun day event this weekend on what would have been Mitchell’s eighteenth birthday.

We were made to feel so welcome, and it really gave us the chance to talk to quite a few of you about what our charity is about. Any funds raised for Mitchell's Miracles will support each family referred to us for a financial grant, and our support ranges from a single £300 grant up to a monthly care grant which can total to £2,000. Last year we proudly supported 70 out of 100 families, whose child was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.”
