Asbestos and Water Compliance Manager wanted
Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: starting from £43,742 per annum
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the organisations systems and operations, in a safe and sustainable way for all stakeholders
- Ensure the Facilities Directorate complies with its duties under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012), ACOPs L8 and other relevant legislation
- Implement systems to ensure estates operational compliance with national standards as required and at all times remain responsive to the client’s requirements in providing high levels of customer service and satisfaction
- To be the ‘Responsible Person’ and ‘Appointed Person’ for Asbestos and in addition to support compliance and assurance on the directorate water safety requirements
- Link with the other members of the Business & Assurance Team, Estates Operational Managers and Capital Programmes to monitor compliance and expedite any requirements to fulfil in the domains of Asbestos & Water as well as wider compliance support to the team
- Ascertain the position of all compliance for all Estates & Facilities functions and produce periodic reports indicating such, including cause and effect with recommendations to address any gaps
- Work collaboratively with the Facilitates Directorate and its suppliers with tact and persuasive skills for the complex development, implementation, updating and day to day compliance management of Asbestos and Water to provide high quality, effective and empathetic services to the organisation
Essential requirements:
- A degree or suitable and varied work experience in relevant subject areas e.g. engineering, building management
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Health & Safety
- City & Guilds Managing Legionella in Building Water Systems
- Comprehensive working knowledge of health and safety legislation especially in respect of legionella, asbestos and construction management
- Experience of health & safety in an environment with complex multi-disciplinary issues
