Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor – Nottinghamshire

Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor for an organisation in Nottinghamshire. The candidate needs to be qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent.

The role will involve:

• Managing contractors across all sites to carry out PPM works as required across a wide range of building types
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with the Estates team, Surveyors and Engineers
• Managing and monitoring work of contractors to ensure quality works within the client’s agreements
• Identifying building defects to site buildings and liaise with occupants to ensure minimum disruption to facilitate works
• Providing specialist knowledge of building maintenance to key contacts within delegated areas and build working relationships to ensure facilities are fit for purpose
• Conducting inspections and surveys to ensure the preparation of PPM programme of works, for use by senior management in anticipated expenditure
• Identifying and making recommendations for improvement

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant experience within a similar role or have extensive relevant experience demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge in a similar specialised field of work
