Local Authority – Childcare Lawyer

Venn Group is recruiting for a forward-thinking Local Authority in London, for a Locum Childcare Lawyer

This is a three month role with potential to extend. You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister and have experience handling childcare proceedings in a local authority setting.

Day to day duties will include:

• To give expert legal advice  in relation to childcare law
• Handling public law care proceedings
• Advising on child protection, adoption, fostering and public law duties in relation to children in need
• Assisting in some education matters including SEN

The Council is currently working on an all-remote basis, but you will need to collect IT equipment when you start.
