Communications and Engagement Manager
Venn Group are pleased to have partnered with a renowned healthcare organisation to source an Engagement Manager for the following interim assignment:
Location: Hertfordshire
Contract: 3 months+
Rate: £31.43 per hour umbrella
Hours: 2.5 days per week
Your duties will include:
- Fostering enhanced understanding of the purpose, work, and achievements of the organisation both internally with staff and members and externally with the public and stakeholders
- Contributing to developing a programme of communication to enhance the reputation of the organisation
- Supporting Board and senior managers to work with stakeholders to create a positive environment for the development of services
- Supporting the development of and delivery of the partnership’s communications and engagement strategy and plan, which will require frequent periods of concentration. This includes media relations, internal communications, patient engagement, public affairs, promotion of services, stakeholder management, event organisation, and advising senior managers and responding to complex cases
- Supporting the team in the production of media releases, statements, responses, patient / service case studies, social media postings and internal channels
- Managing key projects, brand development and dealing with highly complex and sensitive information
- Overseeing production and distribution of publications / materials, such as newsletters, internal communications, exhibitions, presentations, including creative management, writing, editing, print management, and managing distribution
- Creating and publishing website and intranet content, and assisting with the ongoing development of our website and intranet
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience of working at a senior level in a complex organisation
- Previous experience engaging with patients / VCS organisations
- Previous experience of managing marketing/communications projects
- Experience of supervision and management of staff
- Understanding of corporate communications and reputation management
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately and to high standards, particularly when under pressure
- High levels of drive, enthusiasm and stamina to achieve goals and see things through
