Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team is pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Construction Lawyer on behalf of a prestigious council in the region. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist construction department, contributing to high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Involvement: Provide legal expertise across three main funding streams, including two ongoing projects and a significant c. £12m scheme.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, ensuring compliance with project objectives and legal requirements.
- Strategic Legal Support: Offer strategic advice on complex construction law issues, helping to drive successful project outcomes.
- Collaborative Work: Engage with various stakeholders within the construction department to deliver effective legal solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Lawyer, preferably within the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, including contract management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and provide strategic legal guidance.
- Availability to work remotely for 3 days per week, approximately 20 hours.
