Construction Solicitor

Location: Remote Working

Contract: 3-Month Initial Contract
Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella
Availability: 3 Days per Week (Circa 20 Hours)

Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team is pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Construction Lawyer on behalf of a prestigious council in the region. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist construction department, contributing to high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Involvement: Provide legal expertise across three main funding streams, including two ongoing projects and a significant c. £12m scheme.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, ensuring compliance with project objectives and legal requirements.
• Strategic Legal Support: Offer strategic advice on complex construction law issues, helping to drive successful project outcomes.
• Collaborative Work: Engage with various stakeholders within the construction department to deliver effective legal solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Lawyer, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction law, including contract management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and provide strategic legal guidance.
• Availability to work remotely for 3 days per week, approximately 20 hours.

This role offers a competitive rate of up to £60 per hour under an umbrella arrangement, along with the flexibility of remote working. It’s an excellent opportunity for a skilled construction lawyer looking to make a tangible impact on key projects.
