Head of Regulation and Community Resilience
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 – 6 Months initially
Rate: Competitive daily rates Inside IR35 (umbrella)
Location: Bedfordshire - Hybrid working
We are currently working with a local authority who are recruiting for a Head of Regulation and Company Resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive Environmental Health, Corporate Health and Safety, Trading Standards, Licencing, Registration, Community Safety, Resilience and Flood Risk service
- Responsible for the ensuring statutory obligations are met and delivering a range of services
- Lead or support on cross cutting issues (as required), utilising matrix management to engage talent and breaking down internal boundaries
- Identify and pursue as appropriate and agreed, all additional sources of funding or other resources
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or a suitable professional qualification related to Environmental Services
- Membership of a professional institute relevant to Environmental Services
- In depth knowledge of statutory requirements, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to service areas within the remit
