Our prestigious housing provider based in Cornwall is looking for a temporary Housing Officer to o deliver a customer focused housing, estate management and lettings service to tenants and
leaseholders across a patch of properties
Locations: Cornwall
Duration: 12 weeks +
Hours: Monday to Friday (9-5)
Rate: £23 via Umbrella

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Manage a designated patch of around 700 – 800 homes meeting performance targets and tenant/leaseholder aspirations
- Work with colleagues to provide an effective lettings, voids, and new tenancy management services, working closely with technical colleagues to assist in the smooth and timely turnaround of vacant properties, and creation of new tenancies
- Ensure that health and safety risks are identified and dealt with appropriately
- Liaise with the Neighbourhood Enforcement team on cases of Anti-Social Behaviour
- Carry out regular Estate Walkabouts within the patch, with open invitations to key stakeholders, raising the relevant repairs and ensuring effective follow up and reporting
- Work with Asset Management colleagues to identify projects and improvements to estates including leading on resident consultation and engagement to identify priorities and improvements on an estate-by-estate approach
- Provide an appropriate Safeguarding service to vulnerable customers and work with the relevant Statutory Agencies in this area
Essential job requirements:
- A current enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or on the update service
- Previous experience and knowledge of a Housing management role
- A driver with access to your own car
