HR Administrator
Venn Group are supporting a Prestigious Academy Trust based in Orpington with the recruitment of a People Administrator on an interim contract (with the potential to go permanent).
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support across all People-related activities within the organisation, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment law.
The role involves supporting recruitment processes, maintaining records, assisting with onboarding, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective people operations.
Hourly Salary: £17.42 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Working hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week
Location: Orpington, Onsite 5 days per week
Job Profile:
- Serve as the primary contact for People-related queries, ensuring accurate advice on policies and procedures while maintaining data protection compliance
- Manage and maintain manual and digital records, prepare reports on recruitment and staff metrics, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Support recruitment processes, including drafting job adverts, coordinating interviews, and maintaining the recruitment dashboard
- Handle onboarding processes, including pre-employment checks, issuing offer letters and contracts, and organising inductions
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, providing administrative support for related projects
- Coordinate internal events such as training sessions and recruitment fairs, and represent the organisation at external events when required
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives while staying informed on employment legislation and best practices
Person Specification:
- Minimum Level 5/GCSE A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent); Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice (desirable)
- Proven administrative experience, ideally in HR or People services, with knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, and HR software systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, approachable, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and upholding high professional standards
