Job Title: Income Officer

Location: Southampton

Daily Rate: £16-£18

Job Type: Interim (1 month, with potential for extension)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Hybrid working)

Job Profile:

Provide an efficient, effective and customer oriented service face to face, by phone and via email.
Liaise with students, customers and external organisations with regards to managing outstanding debt and funding, including issuing statements and written correspondence
Maintain clear records, negotiating payment plans and enforcing sanctions where necessary.
Raise and process invoices using the financial system, assisting staff in this process where required.
Review and allocate payments received/issued, ensuring all systems and records are accurate, complete and up to date.
Ensure that all records are maintained correctly and efficiently.

Specification:

IT and spreadsheet skills, proven use of Microsoft Office programmes.
Experience of cashing and sales ledger administration duties
Good understanding of fundamental sales ledger accounting and debt recovery principles
Proven experience of working in a busy team, especially within the education sector
Good communication skills at all levels.
