Venn Group is currently working with a NHS Trust, based in London, who are recruiting for an IT Service Engineer. The aim of this role is to provide advanced specialised knowledge and technical expertise to all departments across the organisation both clinical and non-clinical.

Hourly rate: £26.01 Umbrella
Location: London

IR35 Status: Inside

Duration: 9 months initially, until 31st March 2024

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for support and maintenance of the server and storage infrastructure, including the data centre and server rooms, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and comply with ICHT standards and procedures

• Assist the Server Manager for Data Centre and server capacity planning, usage monitoring and reporting

• Support and upkeep/maintenance of security within the server infrastructure

• Schedule and carry out routine maintenance tasks

• Updating server infrastructure documents

• Provide on call support for clinical and non-clinical departments at the Trust

• Assist with the security of the ICT infrastructure, ensuring that all servers are maintained with the latest approved versions, critical/security patches and are monitored/reviewed for any anomalies/faults

• Assist with configuration, security, upgrades and performance of ICHT Servers

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in an IT related role within an organisation with 10000+ users

• Previously supported 2nd/3rd Line support in a Microsoft Server environment, with specific exposure to the following technologies: (Server 2003/08/12/16, Linux, SQL 2008/12/14/16, Exchange 2010, Trend Micro security suite, MS Clustering and NLB, Kemp Load Balancing, SCCM/SCOM)

• Previous exposure to the following managing and supporting storage solutions: (HP EVA, Huawei StoreOnce, Tintri, Qumilo, VMWare ESX, vSphere, HyperV)

• NHS/healthcare experience
