Locum Commercial Property Lawyer

Location: Remote Working
Contract: 3-Month Initial Contract
Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella
Availability: Part-Time, 28 Hours per Week

Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team is pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer on behalf of a well-regarded council. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work remotely while handling a diverse and challenging caseload of property law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adverse Possessions and Objections: Manage adverse possession claims and objections, providing expert legal guidance and representation.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Draft a wide range of legal documents, including wayleave agreements, leases, licenses, and lease renewals.
• Residential New Build Acquisitions: Oversee residential new build acquisitions from instructions to completion, including post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and land registration.
• Complex Land Queries: Address and resolve complex land queries, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the council's interests.
• Right to Buy Sales: Manage right to buy sales, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements.
• Policy and Procedure Review: Review and advise on existing policies and procedures to ensure they align with current legal standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial property law, ideally within a public sector or local government setting.
• Strong drafting and transactional skills, with a focus on complex property matters.
• Ability to work independently, managing a varied caseload remotely.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £55 under an umbrella arrangement, with the flexibility of remote working. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer looking to contribute to high-impact projects in the public sector.
