Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the North of England on an interim basis.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Specialising in procurement, contracts and development projects
• Protecting the interests of the Authority by advising upon, drafting and negotiating legal agreements
• Providing expert legal advice to a variety of clients in-house across all directorates
• Completing contracts on behalf of the Authority
• Advising on legal matters affecting a public body more generally

Start: January 2025

Duration: 3 months, with scope to extend further

Hours: Part-time (up to 3 days a week)

Working Arrangement: Fully remote

Rate: £55-60 per hour, umbrella
