Locum Housing Lawyer – South West - Full Time - Remote Working – £55 Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team is working with an established Local Authority in the South West which is looking to appoint an experienced Locum Lawyer, specialising in Housing Litigation, to join their team.
This is a full-time, remote working position for an initial duration of 3 months, subject to potential extension thereafter. The ideal candidate will have recent prior experience working within a Local Authority along with a broad working understanding of Litigation to deal with a varied caseload.
Duties may include:
- Advising the clients of the organisation on all aspects of Housing Law and providing representation when necessary
- Undertaking all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Litigation including reviews of Housing Committee reports, leases and rentals, possession claims and Housing Disrepair
- Working collaboratively across the authority with issues encompassing tenancy management
- Undertaking research as requested in relation to Housing Law, including general housing litigation, anti-social behaviour and possessions
- Liaising with the authority’s stakeholders as appropriate
- Advising officers and members in a proactive and sensitive manner
- Mentoring and training less experienced team members
- Working efficiently under tight deadlines
An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
