Locum Junior Commercial Property Lawyer – West Midlands – 3 months – Full Time – Hybrid Working – Up to £40 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group are working with a West Midlands based Local Authority seeking a Junior Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team on a 3 month initial locum assignment.
Role: Locum Junior Commercial Property Lawyer
Organisation: Local Authority
Location: West Midlands
Duration: 3 months initial contract with the likelihood of extension
Working Arrangement:
The Organisation are seeking candidates with full time availability however applicants who can offer 4 days per week will also be considered.
This role is to be conducted on a hybrid arrangement, with office attendance ideally once per week/fortnight.
Hourly Rate:
The hourly rate for this position is up to £40 per hour Umbrella, however this is dependent upon the applicants previous experience handling a commercial property caseload within Local Government.
This role is a great opportunity for Newly Qualified Lawyers, either Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX professional, or for those seeking more Local Government experience.
Duties for this Role:
- Independently handling caseload involving a variety of matters including advising on TRO’s, shared ownership matters and populating contracts
- Negotiating and advising on any Council boundary and title enquiries
- Representing and negotiating on behalf of the Council’s clients with third parties and external stakeholders
- Providing assistance to the Property Team regarding any relevant Property Law matters
- Remaining up to date with legal changes and implications to ensure al matters are dealt with in compliance with current legislation and the Council’s framework
