Our client, a leading housing association in Ellesmere Port is currently recruiting for a Planning & Delivery Surveyor on a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract. You will be working on a full-time basis, 36.5 hours per week and in turn you will receive a competitive salary of £42,189 and Excellent Benefits.
Your day to day duties for this role will involve:
- Undertaking asset surveys to inform strategic investment planning, diagnosing defects, scope works, and preparing specifications
- Preparing drawings and specifications as required
- Working on projects including solar panels, EWI installations
- Conducting feasibility studies
- Dealing with JCT Contracts
- Preparing drawings as required
- Assisting in the development of scheme budgets in support of strategic business planning purposes
- Formulating cost effective repair strategies
- Managing and coordinating delivery of all phases of investment and regeneration projects from inception, through pre-contract to completion.
- Liaising with housing staff, officers, customers, and stakeholders on all matters relating to responsive, planned and servicing activities. Ensuring customers and stakeholders priorities are incorporated in repair strategies and methods of delivery.
- Preparing reports, statistical returns and monitoring information for management and boards as required.
- Assisting in developing, analysing and maintaining asset information to enable the formulation of long term investment plans and shorter term programme planning for all repair and maintenance activities.
The successful candidate will have an HNC/ HND in Building or Building Surveying or relevant experience working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate working knowledge and experience of computers
The ideal candidate will be a member of or working towards becoming a member of an appropriate construction related professional body i.e. CIOB, RICS, CIBSE
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience of the use of Microsoft office software in particular - Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
- Have knowledge of CDM regulations and their application
