Permanent Property Lawyer
Our client, a prominent public body with headquarters in Leeds, is seeking a Commercial Property and Planning Lawyer on a permanent, hybrid-working basis.
About the role
In this post you will be responsible for:
- Drafting, negotiating, interpreting and providing legal advice and implementing instructions in relation to high value and complex non-contentious legal property matters
- Proactively advising on property law, planning law and compulsory purchase law
- Carrying out an intelligent client role including drafting instructions for high value and complex matters, to external law firms
- Demonstrating commercial acumen and an understanding of the business when advising and negotiating on its behalf
- Analysing situations, applying knowledge and expertise to undertake negotiations or guide decision making based on options and implications, proposing solutions and recommending new policies and procedures to improve ways of working and reduce risk
About you
To be successful in this post you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister entitled to hold a practising certificate or full CILEX (Fellowship) qualification with recent post-qualification experience, ideally in a public sector organisation.
- Possess significant experience within Commercial Property or Planning Law
- Have excellent analytical skills, initiative, and sound judgement to provide solution focussed advice
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
