Venn Group is partnered with a large media corporation to recruit a Risk and Compliance Project Manager for a 1 year interim contract. This pivotal role will focus on assessing material risks to the organisation, in response to updated Financial Reporting Council guidance on UK Corporate Governance Codes.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure financial reporting practices comply with Financial Reporting Council guidance on UK Corporate Governance Codes
- Implement updates to compliance and reporting processes in line with changes to UK Corporate Governance Codes
- Design and implement effective compliance policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Lead and manage risk and compliance projects from initiation to completion
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and establish risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor risk exposure and provide regular reports on mitigation efforts
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including managing timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals, providing regular updates on project progress and risk management activities
Ideal candidate profile:
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale financial and non-financial risk and compliance projects within complex, global organisations
- Exceptional commercial acumen, ideally with experience in projects involving organisations with exposure to U.S. stock markets
- Experience of application of controls to both financial and non-financial risk areas
- Strong background in developing and implementing risk and control frameworks

Rate: £500-600 per day, paid via an Umbrella Company (inside IR35)
Working hours: Full-time
Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
