Our client is seeking an experienced Server Engineer to provide BAU server support and manage server configurations. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining and optimising server infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide BAU support for the organisation’s server infrastructure, ensuring performance, security and reliability.
Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows and/or Linux servers.
Manage server upgrades, patches and security updates.
Monitor server health, identify issues and implement proactive solutions.
Work with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V or cloud-based platforms.
Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents and implement improvements.
Maintain documentation of server configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a Server Engineer role, providing BAU support.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management.
Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
