Charity Day 2023
Posted on September 2023
Our annual charity day raised £3,399. Thank you to all our employees for their generosity in support of their chosen local charities: Bristol Dementia Action Alliance, Maggie’s, Make A Wish, Mitchell’s Miracles, Samuel’s Charity, Solace Women’s Aid, The Trussell Trust and Zarach.
Throughout the day our offices held tombolas, office mini-golf, Mario Kart tournaments, quizzes, baking contests, softball and more. The highlight of the day was our company-wide raffle, and our sincere thanks goes to our sponsors: The Access Group, Barracuda, Churchill Knight, CloudCall, Danbro, Fleet Managed Print Solutions, Intercity, NASA Group, Paiger, Parasol, PayStream, Perspicuity, Sapphire, Simplify IT Solutions, Softcat, Spark, TIEVA, and Workwell.
We have already held a number of fundraising and sponsored events across the year, and this day’s events brings the total closer to our annual target. Thank you to our charity team – Abbi Hurley, Adriana Patel, Ben Dixon, Charley Payne, Daniel O’Connell, Dannielle Day, Ebby Vallance, Fabian Liladhar, Jordan Veitch, Logan Walker, Shatho Newman and Sophie Curran – for your drive and enthusiasm in supporting your units’ chosen charities. We heard from a few of them below.
“Mitchell’s Miracles is an incredible charity that is very close to my heart and I am so grateful that we get the opportunity to support them. The work they do supporting families emotionally and financially that have a child battling neuroblastoma is admirable. I’ve absolutely loved being a charity rep for the past two years and feel very grateful that as a unit we are all so wholeheartedly and generously supporting Mitchell’s Miracles – it means the world to me. I hope everyone is excited for all the activities we have planned; I cannot wait to see everyone getting very competitive in the softball games!”

“We are immensely proud to be able raise money for two excellent charities: Solace Women’s Aid and The Trussell Trust. Solace exists to end the harm done through gender-based violence, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse as well as providing services to meet their individual needs. The Trussell Trust envisions creating a UK without the need for emergency food and supports a nationwide network of food banks which provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship, and campaigns for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. We have loved representing our Business Units so far this year and look forward to our upcoming Charity Day. Let's come together, raise funds for incredible causes, and have a blast while doing so!”

“Maggie's plays a pivotal role in providing crucial support to individuals and families affected by cancer. Their holistic approach, offering emotional, psychological and practical assistance, can significantly help cancer patients and their loved ones navigate the challenges that come with the illness. Cancer, sadly, affects most families – my own included – and so it means a lot personally to support the delivery and visibility of Maggie’s vital services. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as a charity representative for our Manchester Office so far. It’s a great way to get the office together, to support a shared cause and have some fun at the same time!”
