Emma Walker

​After completing her LLB Law degree, Emma joined Venn Group as a Consultant in 2005 and was given the opportunity to set up the new Legal Division for the Midlands region in 2008. In her current role as Director, Emma oversees specialist teams across both the Legal and Local Government sector, responsible for Venn Group’s nationwide presence in these areas. For Emma, recruitment is about going the extra mile to understand her candidates and clients so that she can deliver a personalised approach that goes above and beyond expectations.

Philippa Stoate

​Philippa joined Venn Group in 2011 and has specialised in the Local Government Legal Sector ever since, being promoted to Senior Manger this year. She prides herself on building long-standing relationships with both candidates and clients, whilst always taking the time to understand everyone’s requirements so that she can deliver a tailored, friendly service. Having placed over 1,000 locums into assignments all over the UK, she has the experience and know-how to support you every step of the way.

Tom Hoult

After studying Law at the University of Chester, Tom joined Venn Group in 2017 where he became part of the established Public Sector Legal Team in the Midlands Office and has since become Senior Managing Consultant. Taking a pragmatic approach, Tom sees his role as existing to make recruitment experiences as easy as possible for both candidates and clients. He enjoys that in recruitment your success is based on the number of people that you help and hopes to continue to increase this number in the years to come.

Sophie Curran

Sophie leads our Manchester Local Government Legal team and has helped it go from strength to strength. This has been underpinned by a determination to always deliver the best level of service to our candidates and clients across the North West. She finds working in the sector particularly rewarding when partnering with councils to help deliver a better life for their residents and support for the most vulnerable members of society.
