We are working with a local authority who are looking for an Asset Support Officer to join their Housing Asset team to provide a front- line service to Council tenants, leaseholders and members of the public for the Housing Assets Service.
The purpose of the role is to provide a range of technical and administrative support services for the Housing Assets Service. To make a positive contribution to the Housing Assets Team, delivering a high-quality tenancy service, working within a positive ‘can do’ culture, process invoices in conjunction with the Performance and Resources Officers
Location: Southwest based Authority
Set-up: Hybrid
Rate: £17.34
Duration: 6-month contract
Hours: Full-time position
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage customer enquiries through a range of channels
- Deliver a high-quality Repairs/Planned works appointment booking system to tenants and leaseholders
- Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, other housing teams and contractors to ensure awareness and compliance
- Input, update and maintain all manual and electronic records in an accurate and timely manner
- Carry out all clerical duties associated with the receipt, ordering and processing of all housing responsive and planned works to contractors
Project delivery and performance management
- Keep records of all customer satisfaction cards returned by tenants
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Assist with the regular collection of data to inform service delivery and performance management
Requirements & Skills
- The ability to understand the links between the Asset Support Officer and the other housing teams and their importance in delivering a successful overall service that meets corporate objectives
- Experience of delivering high quality customer service, preferably in a housing setting
- Proficient with IT systems e.g Word, Excel
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Educated to GCSE level in five subjects including English and Maths or equivalent
