We are working with a local authority who are looking for an Assistant Head – Adult Social Care Services.
The role of Assistant Head of ASC Support Services and Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of adult social care services, which align to the Care Act 2014 and the CQC framework. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in people's life by transforming adult social care services to be more responsive and customer focused.
Location: Southwest based Authority
Set-up: In office - with move to hybrid in the new year
Rate: £34.55/hour inside IR35
Duration: Initial 6-month contract
Hours: Full-time position
The work will include:
- As a strategic member of the Adult Social Care Services and Business Development team, you will be responsible for promoting and driving service development and change in the Customer Services Team
- Innovative Solutions: You’ll lead the implementation of cutting-edge digital tools and strategies to streamline customer interactions, making them more efficient and accessible
- Customer journey: redefine and streamline processes, ensuring that from first contact we deliver a consistent and positive experience
- Partnership and Collaboration: working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare, voluntary sector organisations and community groups to ensure integrated and person-centred approach
- Strategic Planning/Compliance and Governance. Lead the service to deliver high quality services, ensuring that it meets the needs and expectations of the customers, carers, and their families. Linking compliance with national regulations and standards, contributing to the wider strategic goals of the Adult Social Care sector
Person Specification/ Experience:
- Proven experience of developing and delivering challenging business plans and achieving targets through strong performance
- Proven track record in the leadership, management, and development of services
- Substantial post-qualification experience of working in a statutory health or social care setting demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience of identifying and managing risk and planning appropriate interventions
- Professional qualification in relevant field (Degree or equivalent level professional qualification)
- Able to demonstrate significant experience of multidisciplinary service delivery for adults and older people, including health, social care, and the voluntary sector
- The post involves travel throughout the County
- The post will involve work out of normal office hours at times, including occasional management cover for out of hour’s services
