Business Systems Support Team Leader

Venn Group are currently working on a position with a highly regarded organisation based in Hertfordshire to source a Business Systems Support Team Leader for the following permanent position:

Salary: £52,250 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week

Your duties will include:

• Leading a Business Systems and Projects team within the Information and Digital Services, developing and implementing staffing plans for the team
• Supporting continuous service improvements though effective recruitment, staff development, succession planning, and performance management
• Working with the IDS team to establish and maintain the business systems elements of the organisations information management strategy and the policies, standards, procedures and methods necessary to implement the strategy
• Being accountable for the business systems and projects elements of the organisations information architectures, ensuring these support business processes and can be flexibly changed when business processes change, taking into account any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations
• Managing the business development and account management aspects of the IDS service for both internal and external customers, providing consultancy services and advice over a wide range of topics, including the role of IT in the business
• Taking a full and active part in the corporate approach to the delivery of the organisations services, ensuring effective and efficient deployment of resources, particularly by the use of shared services
• Planning, directing and coordinating activities to manage and implement complex interrelated projects
• Ensuring that appropriate and effective governance arrangements and comprehensive reporting is in place
• Evaluating changes to programme management practices and initiate improvement to organisation practices

The successful candidate should have:

• A degree and/or professional qualification or equivalent, and additional training in business systems management with equivalent commensurate experience
• ITIL version 3/4 Foundation qualification
• Project management qualification e.g. Prince 2/ PMP
• Significant in-depth experience in system management and support
• Up to date knowledge of Information and digital systems issues
• Experience of business system selection, implementation, and support for major corporate or departmental systems
