Venn Group is working with a renowned broadcasting corporation to recruit for a Commercial Programme Manager on an initial 3 month interim contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with specialist commercial project and supplier management skills to make key strategic decisions for the organisation.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Lead large-scale programmes, ensuring effective delivery and risk management
- Negotiation planning and supplier engagement including complex commercial negotiations and associated legal considerations including commercial exit
- Responsible for programme structure, plans and tracking methodologies
- Manage regulated procurements
- Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and drive cost-effective solutions
- Exit management and transition between suppliers
- Detailed communication with senior leaders, technical, commercial and legal specialists within the organisation
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, suppliers, and industry partners
Ideal candidate profile:
- Extensive experience in commercial management, programme delivery, and contract negotiation
- Knowledge of complex commercial negotiations and associated legal considerations including commercial exit e.g. TUPE
- Strategic thinking, including the ability to align commercial activities with organisational objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and directly engage with suppliers
- Sector experience within Central Government organisations and/or familiarity with public sector procurement

Salary: £600 - £700 per day inclusive of holiday pay (paid via an Umbrella company)
Working hours: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Working pattern: 35 hours a week
