Role – Corporate Governance Manager
Duration: 6 month FTC
Location: Hybrid; Tuesdays onsite in Warwickshire
Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri
Pay Rate: £43,000 - £50,000pa dependent on experience
Venn Group has been contacted by a reputable public sector institution based in Warwickshire to provide high quality, efficient and effective corporate governance. The post holder will provide guidance and support to senior members of staff on governance issues across the organisation. They will also lead on specific corporate governance-related projects, develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, systems and strategies to support robust corporate governance and, where required, support the Complaints Management function.
Duties:
- Lead projects, working both internally and across the System, which deliver robust, responsive, and transparent governance arrangements
- Make judgements on complex facts through analysis to ensure a robust interpretation, presentation and comparison of options and possible future directions of travel for the organisation and System as a whole
- Support the ICB’s complaints team, where necessary, to manage their processes, ensuring appropriate and timely responses in line with the ICB’s policy
- Line manage Governance Officers and/or Governance Support Officers, ensuring clear objectives are set and monitored through Personal Development Review and support is provided as required
- Provide advice and training to staff on a wide range of corporate governance matters
- Monitor and manage the corporate budget, developing and implementing savings plans as

- Attend meetings of the Board and Committees, producing and presenting corporate governance reports, as required, ensuring delivery of required actions

Requirements:
- Relevant Information Governance experience dealing with confidentiality, data protection and IT Security in a customer focused environment
- Team management and development experience including managing performance reviews and motivating team members towards successful achievement of objectives
- Substantial relevant experience of risks management, including the Board Assurance Framework and knowledge and experience of Freedom of Information processes and standards
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
