Venn Group are working with a Care Group who are looking for a Credit Manager to join their team.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 pa
Location: North London (5 days on site)
Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Credit Control Manager to join a Care Group in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the credit control team, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
- Oversee the end-to-end credit control process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciling customer accounts
- Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow
- Monitor and review aged debt reports, identifying and addressing any issues promptly
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payment and resolve any queries or disputes
- Conduct regular credit assessments and reviews for new and existing clients, setting appropriate credit limits
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit control performance, including key metrics and trends
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and support business growth
- Handle escalated credit control issues and negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager, preferably within the care sector or a similar industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in credit control
