Finance Assistant
Venn Group are currently recruiting for an interim Finance Assistant on behalf of an educational group in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time temporary role initially to the end of October.
The role provides finance and accounts support to the Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Procedures: Support the operation, maintenance, and development of financial procedures and systems, including processing purchase orders and supplier invoices.
- Queries Resolution: Handle student and parent queries regarding school trips, dinner money, and other e-payment issues.
- Petty Cash Management: Record and replenish petty cash funds and manage cash counting and preparation for collection.
- General Support: Assist the operations and finance manager with tasks such as handling mail, answering the telephone, and posting journals.
Requirements:
- Experience in working in an accounts position within a finance team
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential
Due to the nature of the role, we require candidates who are immediately available or on a short notice period.
