Junior Area Sales Manager:
Duration: Permanent
Location: Telford
Hours: 9am – 5pm
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Duties:
- Deal with customer queries, provide product details via telephone and email and resolve issues and concerns, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Identify and target potential customers, within your assigned patch. Generate a pipeline of business utilising different methods such as market research, cold calling, networking, and other strategies
- Carrying out site visits to survey and facilitate the creation of machinery/equipment layout plans and any other requirements to ensure the business objectives are fulfilled
- Carry out admin tasks related to the role, including accurate records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and processing sales orders and invoices
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of products or services. Assist in the preparation and presenting of sales reports and forecasts which are consistent with the organisational requirements
- Assist the sales team in preparing quotes and proposals for customers and follow up. Schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for sales representatives. Provide administrative support such as data entry, document management, and filing. By being responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of data inputting and contributing to and approaches to improve the quality of the sales data
- Stay up to date with product knowledge to effectively assist customers and provide relevant information. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, like sales and product management, to understand product features, benefits, and competitive advantages
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential customers. Provide insights and data to the sales team to help identify new sales opportunities
- Participate in industry trade shows and events to represent the company and its products, as well as to generate leads and build brand awareness
- Maintain regular communication with the sales team to ensure a smooth flow of information. Respond to internal and external inquiries via email, phone, or in person
