Job Title: Lead Platform Engineer

Clearance: DV (or SC willing to undergo DV)

Overview: We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help us build the D2S Platform, a cloud-native Kubernetes environment for defence applications. This role requires an urgent start, and we are competing with one other partner for this resource.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and integrate software to form a complete DevOps toolchain.
• Plan and design large groups of stories.
• Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues.
• Ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable, and highly available.
• Provide deep technical knowledge, support delivery teams, and solve complex problems.

Skills:

• Knowledge of and ability to implement solutions for:
• VMware / Similar virtualisation platforms
• OpenShift / Kubernetes
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Infoblox / DNS
• TLS certificate management
• Dell Data Domain / backups
• Dell PowerScale / storage

Desirable Qualifications:

• ITIL Foundation
• Cloud certifications, e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
