Principal Childcare Lawyer – South East – Hybrid Working – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)
Position: Principal Childcare Lawyer
Organisation: South East based Local Authority
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working
Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Venn Group’s public sector legal team are working with a South East based Local Authority in their search for a Principal Childcare Locum to cover maternity leave.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either an experienced Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who is enthusiastic and committed to leading a Pre-Proceedings team.
Duties shall include:
- To lead a team of lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants dealing with pre-proceedings and PLO cases
- To work closely with Child Care Court Teams
- To advise on evidential and legal matters
- To identify strengths and weaknesses in a case and advise the clients accordingly
- Build strong and positive relationships with clients
