An exciting position has arisen for a Royalties & Rights Officer to work for an excellent Membership Organisation to provide some critical support to the group finance team with their royalty accounting.
Key responsibilities:
- To work with colleagues, with the support and assistance of the Royalties & Rights Co-ordinator, in the following areas
- Work with the Rights & Contracts team to set up the royalty calculations for new deals
- Work with the Rights & Contracts team to amend or extend existing royalty calculations, as required
- Work with the Distribution teams to sense check reporting on deals prior to issue to rights holders
- With the Royalties and Rights & Contracts teams to support error clearance and implementation of lessons learned for deal set up and amendment on Media Maestro (MM)
- To work with the Royalties & Rights Co-ordinator, reviewing their deal set ups and allocating appropriate titles for their completion
- To work with the teams, primarily the Senior Royalties & Rights Manager and Vistex (MM software provider) to review current processes and understand existing MM functionality that may be used to improve processes, and support implementation of new processes
- To ensure that deals are set up to accurately report on royalties, including the recoupment of advances and costs
- To work on investigation and resolution of complex and/or urgent royalty queries
- To support the prioritisation of queries and responses on royalty matters
Successful candidate profile:
- Experience setting up royalty deals on a royalty system
- Understanding on film rights contracts and royalty calculations
- Experience with MM (Media Maestro) is desirable
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal and strong attention to details

Working pattern: Hybrid (once a week in the office)
Location: Fitzrovia, London
Duration: 9 month FTC
