Rate: £250p/d umbrella (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-6 months
Location: Fully Remote
Our client is looking for a SEN Case Officer who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with special educational needs. Please see below for further details:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the procedures associated with managing a caseload of children with an EHCP
- Supporting families to understand the processes when an EHCP annual review and or amendments to the EHCP is required
- Gathering all information concisely regarding the child to support decisions about amendments to an (EHCP) that will ensure the child is in receipt of the right support in the right place to meet their needs
- Ensuring that appropriate steps have been taken and that all appropriate actions have been taken to ensure an EHCP is up-to-date and accurate for those who have them
- Ensuring statutory timeframes as governed by the SEND code of practice, and other appropriate legislative frameworks, are adhered to and achieved for all actions relating to maintaining or ceasing an EHCP
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS that is on the Update Service
- Relevant experience in the field of special educational needs, preferably within an educational or local authority setting
- Comprehensive understanding of the legislative frameworks governing SEN provision, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEN Code of Practice 2015
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders
- Commitment to promoting inclusive practices and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEN
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
