Job Title: Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer
Location: London – Hybrid Working of 1 Day Per Week Office Presence
Salary: Up to £55 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are in collaboration with a forward thinking and dynamic London based Local Authority who are seeking a Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer on a locum basis to enhance their legal team.
The role of a Locum Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis with the potential for a long term extension. This position will allow the right person the opportunity to develop and expand their legal acumen within the Local Authority.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Adult Social Care legal matters within Local Government.
Job Description
- Legal Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice to clients, including local authorities, housing associations, and schools. Specialise in Adults Social Care, Education, and Employment matters, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- File Management: Conduct legal proceedings and have oversight of legal files on behalf of the Local Authority and affiliated clients and to manage cases involving Adults Social Care, Education, and Employment, ensuring adherence to legal standards and best practices
- Representation: Represent clients in various legal forums, including courts and tribunals, ensuring effective advocacy and legal representation. Undertake research as required to build strong cases and support legal arguments
- Specialisation: Develop expertise in one or more areas within Adults Social Care, Education, and Employment, contributing to the specialization of the legal team
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their legal needs and provide tailored legal solutions. Foster strong working relationships with local authorities, housing associations, and schools
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of developments in Adults Social Care, Education, and Employment laws and regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance legal knowledge and skills
