Senior Strategic Improvement and Transformation Lead

A position has arisen for a Senior Strategic Improvement and Transformation Lead within a highly regarded healthcare organisation situated within Cambridgeshire. The position is temporary running for 6 months+.
Location: Cambridgeshire, hybrid working
Contract: 6 months+
Rate: £312.96 per day via umbrella, inside IR35
Hours: 37.5, Monday to Friday
A brief overview of the day-to-day duties includes the following:
- Design the transformation blueprint providing the strategic and comprehensive plan which outlines the key elements, goals, and steps required to achieve a significant organisational transformation
- Select and apply the most appropriate design or improvement methodology for addressing improvement challenges in a complex transformation context
- Design and facilitate workshops/design sessions with stakeholders and team members to generate and assess innovative solutions
- Provide assurance to senior leaders on the performance and progress in individual programmes and projects, development of improvement capabilities and successful delivery of significant changes
- Inspire and lead a team of improvement and transformation professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team successfully coach, support and lead improvement initiatives which have a measurable impact on the quality of the organisations processes, pathways, and services
- Advise and coach the team on complex redesign issues and programmes, using extensive improvement science experience, skills and knowledge
- Leverage advanced subject matter expertise in improvement science, change management, and programme management to offer guidance to senior leaders on strategic improvement and transformation goals, challenges, and opportunities
- Continuously evaluate and enhance improvement approaches and techniques adapting to the organisation’s evolving needs, ensuring that changes are measured and evaluated, leading to meaningful and impactful improvements
The successful candidate should have:
- Experience in a senior management role leading a team of improvement specialists, and experience of developing improvement strategies and frameworks
- Experience of successfully delivering large scale and complex redesign programmes
- Extensive experience of improvement science, change management, service design/inclusive design methodologies/techniques to successfully design complex improvement initiatives
- Experience of designing and fostering a culture of innovation and improvement within teams and across organisations including building improvement capability
- Experience of senior level engagement, forming networks and strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, advanced problem solving, decision-making, consulting and negotiating skills, and the ability to use tact, diplomacy, negotiation, and persuasion particularly when dealing with challenging situations and leading people through change
