Location: North London - 5 days on site

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in our financial management and reporting.
Job Summary: The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for producing comprehensive monthly management accounts and taking full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements. This role is crucial in providing accurate financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Management Accounts:
- Prepare and produce detailed monthly management accounts for multiple sites.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
- Analyze variances and provide insightful commentary on financial results.

Profit and Loss Ownership:
- Take full ownership of the P&L statements for all sites.
- Monitor and review revenue and expenditure to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of financial data.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget performance and report on variances.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Implement financial controls and procedures to enhance financial performance.
- Support operational teams in understanding and managing their budgets.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management accounting role.
- Previous experience in a multi-site organization, preferably within the care or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
