Senior Planning Lawyer – London – Up to £55 per hour – Hybrid Working
Job Title: Senior Planning Lawyer
Location: London – Hybrid working of 1 Day Per Week Office Presence
Salary: Up to £55 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience
Venn Group’s specialist legal team have partnered with a leading London Local Authority in their search for a Senior Planning Lawyer to come and join the team on a Locum basis.
The role of Locum Senior Planning Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis with the potential for a long term extension allowing the right person to grow and develop their legal prowess.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Planning legal matters within Local Government.
Job Description
- Legal Work: Conduct all legal aspects related to planning and regeneration matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Stay updated on developments in planning and regeneration law and policy.
- Support and Mentorship: Assist and provide support to junior staff members when needed, contributing to their professional development. Share knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall capabilities of the legal team.
- Proactive Legal Advice: Provide officers with proactive, solution-focused legal advice to address planning and regeneration challenges. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored legal solutions.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues within the legal practice. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to meet the legal needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Legal Training: Contribute to the awareness and training of clients and colleagues on relevant legal developments in planning and regeneration. Deliver training sessions to ensure understanding and compliance with new laws and policies.
