Womens Refuge Support Worker (IPA)

Venn Group are looking for a Support Worker in Newport to Support Victims of domestic violence and their families in a Refuge setting

*Under schedule 9 Part one of the equality act this role is exempt, this role is only open to female applicants.

Pay Rate:                       £15.41 - £17.41 (VIA UMBRELLA)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Create, implement and develop support plans 
• De-escalate challenging situations
• Accompany service users to appointments and help apply for benifits 
• Conduct Risk and Needs Assesments 
• Represent service users at MARAC meetings 
• Follow safeguarding procedures 
• Manage a small caseload

The successful candidate will have:

• • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs
  • • A DBS on the update service
