Locum Commercial and Construction Lawyer – Local Authority – Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella) – Remote Working

Location: Fully remote working
Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
Duration: 3-6 months+ (potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Part-time or full-time applicants considered

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is recruiting for a Locum Commercial and Construction Lawyer to assist a Local Authority on an interim basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on JCT and NEC contracts, major projects, and local government matters.
• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and funding arrangements.
• Ensuring compliance with local government and public sector legal frameworks.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with strong experience in Commercial and Construction Law.
• Local government experience is desired for this role.
• Experience with JCT, NEC contracts and major projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
